We are invited to design the event branding for the "Still Water Runs Deep 靜河流深" art exhibition curated by the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts. This exhibition marked an important debut show after the museum renovation and connected the whole city by running different sites along the Love River, a representing river in Kaohsiung.

The exhibition featured nearly 20 artists from all around the world, expressing their feelings towards the topic. The design of this art show separated the words "靜河 still river" and "流深 runs deep" to create a sense of echo between these two subjects throughout the city. The space/gap created by these two words expands a horizon that contains all the conceptual ideas that follow the artistic perception offered by the exhibition.



我們受邀為高雄市立美術館策劃的「靜河流深」藝術展覽設計活動品牌形象。這次展覽是美術館翻修後的重要首展,透過沿著高雄愛河的不同場地串聯整個城市。

展覽匯集了來自世界各地的近20位藝術家,表達他們對這此主題的感受。設計將「靜河」和「流深」這兩個詞分開,通過整個城市營造了兩個主題之間的回聲感。這兩個詞所創造的空間/間隙擴展了一個視野,包含了所有藝術作品中的概念思想,並展現了展覽所提供的藝術感知。


In the context of the "Still Water Runs Deep 靜河流深" exhibition, the phrase "still waters run deep" can be seen as a metaphor for the hidden depths of artistic expression and the complex emotions that underlie the artworks presented. The exhibition, like a still river, appears calm and serene on the surface, but its depths reveal the underlying complexities of art and human experience. The exhibition curates artists from all over the world, showcasing their thought-provoking and transformative works. Through this event branding, we aimed to create a visual identity that reflects the conceptual depth of the exhibition and captures the essence of the hidden layers of artistic expression. The success of the exhibition and the positive response from visitors demonstrates that this concept resonated with the audience, and that the still waters of art can indeed run deep.

The project collaborated with the museum director Yulin-Lee, and the success of this exhibition set a milestone for the museum itself. I am honored to have contributed to the branding of this remarkable exhibition, which not only showcases the works of international artists but also connects the city and its people to the power of art.



在「靜河流深」展覽的背景下,短語「靜水深流」可被視為對藝術表達的隱藏深度和作品底層複雜情感的隱喻。展覽就像一條靜謐的河流,在表面看似平靜祥和,但它的深處揭示了藝術和人類經驗的複雜性。展覽匯聚了來自世界各地的藝術家,展示他們發人深省且具有轉化力的作品。通過這次活動品牌的設計,我們旨在創造一個能反映展覽的概念深度並捕捉藝術表達的隱藏層次的視覺形象。展覽的成功和觀眾的積極回響表明這一理念與觀眾產生共鳴,藝術的靜水確實能夠流深。

這個項目與美術館館長李玉玲合作,展覽的成功為美術館自身設立了里程碑。我很榮幸能夠為這個卓越的展覽品牌形象做出貢獻,這個展覽不僅展示了國際藝術家的作品,也將城市和人民與藝術的力量聯繫在一起。
